Hello everyone=) I hope everyone is doing well. Since I had my son he has taught me that the little things are huge. I use this statement all the time because I feel that to many people take advantage of the fact that there child walks or can hold their own head up. We don't realize just how hard that can be and how much of a gift that truly is. So on my sons 3rd birthday his PT bought me a frame and the statement on that frame is what I would like to use as my reflection statement. It states "enjoy the little things in life for someday you will realize they were the big things. Within that frame I have a picture of my son laying on his belly and holding his head up:) Two years ago he could not do that. Everyday he reminds me not to take things for granted. He is such a brave and strong little guy. I am truly blessed to have him in my life:)

On a much lighter note, the journey on relaxation exercise was wonderful. I love the music in the background. The music alone is so relaxing. I think I am going to have to try this every night before I go to bed just to help clear my mind so I can start the next day fresh.

  1. Hi Monica,
I agree with you that stopping to review the small things is a great way to live. It either helps you to appreciate them even more or it helps you to realize how much they actually impact larger things. I agree with you about the music in the relaxation exercise. It was so refreshing! I am really looking forward to some of the techniques we can learn from this class!

  2. I absolutely LOVE that quote: "enjoy the little things in life for someday you will realize they were the big things". That is one of my favorite quotes and I just read your entire entry to my roommates and they all loved it too. Children are such a blessing, there is no bigger blessing in life than ones children. I personally don't have any children but I work with children on the autism spectrum and I have six younger siblings that my parents have taken in through the foster care system; I don't know what I would do without my siblings in my life. I truly believe that enjoying the small things in life is one of the biggest blessings one can do for themselves. One of my roommates recently left for the military and the ones of us that stayed behind are doing what we can to hold on to the little things.
